It's almost like those terrible dating websites where you have to think of amazingly witty things to say about yourself so no one thinks horrible things about you but probably do anyway

Nitty gritty first I guess, 38 female living with my partner in Gateshead, Tyne & Wear - he's a born and bred geordie and I kinda wandered up here a few years ago after having moved around Britain and the US for while (itchy feet I guess). I have an eclectic taste in music but do have a weakness for modern country (yes yes I know its sad but ahh well)

I only came across Beverley a couple of years ago. My partner had just bought her new album at the time (Affirmation) and was playing it in the car - I asked him who it was as I loved the voice, and with listening to the album just once I was happily singing along, her songs were just so addictive. I have to admit he was shocked when he realised I was crying when I heard No One Loves In Vain. All I knew it was a song from the heart with so much passion - of course after I read up a bit about Beverley, I understood more about the song , and even now when I sing along, my throat tightens (I guess I'm a big softy deep down).

As per usual when my partner takes me to concerts (mostly to artists he likes!), 2 weeks before a show he starts playing all the performers others albums rather than just the latest, so I'll know at least a few songs.

I was amazed at how much of Beverley's songs I knew, songs like Gold, Black Butta, Shoulda Woulda Coulda, Queen of Starting Over to name but a few.

Now, thanks to both Beverley and my partner's influences, I listen to more soul/R&B than any other type of music and of course more Beverley than any one else.

Anyway - hello there
